Full-screen Outlook meeting reminders on Mac
For Microsoft 365, Exchange and Outlook calendars. Free, open source, no tracking.
Outlook's reminder on a Mac is a small window or a notification banner. If you are deep in another app, on another display, or sharing your screen, it is gone before you notice it. Slapss puts a full-screen alert over everything the moment your meeting starts, with a Join button for the Teams link.
Two ways to connect your Outlook calendar
Sign in with Microsoft 365 inside Slapss. Slapss reads your work calendar directly from Microsoft, so it works even if you never set up macOS Calendar. Your sign-in token stays in your Mac's Keychain. Some companies require IT approval for new apps. Slapss has a one-click admin consent link and an email template you can forward to your IT team (Settings, Calendars, Microsoft 365).
Or add the account to macOS Calendar. Add your Microsoft Exchange account in System Settings, Internet Accounts. Slapss picks it up through macOS, with no separate sign-in and no admin approval. If an account shows up in Calendar.app, it shows up in Slapss.
Built for a busy work calendar
- One-click Teams join. Teams meetings open in the Teams app. Links wrapped by Microsoft Safe Links, Proofpoint or Barracuda are unwrapped on your Mac, without a network request.
- Back-to-back meetings. If a second meeting starts while an alert is up, it waits in line and shows next.
- Only accepted meetings. Optionally skip the alert for invitations you marked tentative or declined.
- Skip by keyword. No full-screen alert for titles like "Lunch", "PTO" or "Focus time". They stay in the menu bar agenda.
- Presenting Now. One click holds alerts while you share your screen, then shows them when you are done.
- Every display. Show the alert on all connected monitors, so it never lands on the screen you are not looking at.
Slapss reads your calendar on your Mac and sends it nowhere. There is no account to create, no analytics and no server of ours involved. The source code is on GitHub if you want to check.

Questions
Does Slapss replace Outlook's own reminders?
No, it works next to them. You can keep Outlook's reminders on, or turn them off once you are happy with the full-screen alert.
Does Slapss work with Outlook.com or on-premises Exchange?
If the account works in macOS Calendar, Slapss can use it through macOS. The built-in Microsoft 365 sign-in is meant for work and school accounts on Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
My company blocks the Microsoft 365 sign-in. What can I do?
Your IT team may need to approve the app once for the whole organization. Slapss shows an admin consent link and a ready-to-send email in Settings, Calendars, Microsoft 365. Until then, adding the account to macOS Calendar works without approval.
Does it need the Outlook app to be running?
No. Slapss reads the calendar from Microsoft 365 or from macOS Calendar, not from the Outlook app.
Is it really free?
Yes. No subscription, no in-app purchase, no limit on alerts or calendars. Slapss is open source under the Apache 2.0 license.
